How
to create a new a mailbox in your cPanel interface:
Log into your cPanel interface
via a web browser.
Once logged in, click on Mail.
The screen will change to display new options.
In the new screen, click on Manage/Add/Remove
Accounts which can be found near the top
of the options list. The screen will change to
display your existing mail accounts, and new options
At the very bottom of this new
screen, click on Add Account The screen
will change to display account creation input
fields.
Here is where you will create
a new box. E-mail:
is where you will give it the desired box user
name. If the account domain is example.com
and I entered user
in this field, my email address would be user@example.com.
This will also serve as our login.
The center field is for creating
a Password and you need to input the
password that will be used to authenticate with
the email server. This will be used when accessing
mail from your mail program or web mail.
The final field is for entering
a total storage capacity of the mailbox.Quota
(optional): is where you choose total amount
of disk space in Megabytes that the mailbox you
are creating will be allowed to consume. This
is set by default at 10 Mb which is reasonable
for most users. Those that accept large attachments
should select a higher number. An empty field
serves as unlimited, or rather limited only by
the amount of disk space the parent account is
allotted by the server administrator or reseller
that created it.
If the mail box or domain account
exceeds its quota new mail will not be written
to the mailbox file and will consequently not
display in the mail client accessing it. Some
mail loss could occur in these situations and
it is advisable to avoid them by monitoring your
mail usage on a regular basis. (DELETE MAILS OFF
SERVER)
Click the button on the lower
left marked create. This will build
your account. Your screen will change to display
